Bees Need Our Help
Over the last several decades, honeybee populations have been declining worldwide because of an increase in mites, harsh pesticide usage, monocropping, and other man-made stressors.
Bees are the main pollinators for domesticated crops and wild plants.
Our families need bees.
Our farms need bees.
Our wildlife needs bees.
Our environment needs bees.
The bees of today save the foods of tomorrow.
Thank you to our sponsors over the years! We appreciate your support as we supply our community with resources for pollinators.
The Alaska Honeybee Sanctuary is operated entirely on a volunteer basis and does not have any employees. Our mission of increasing pollinators in Alaska and educating others on how to create bee-friendly spaces is a labor of love.
As a registered 501(c)(3) - all funding received goes towards the support of our mission. 85% or more of the charitable contributions we receive go directly into programs completed in the field such as our Alaskan formulated wildflower distribution, swarm retrieval/rescue, free hive management assistance, placement of hives for agricultural pollination, education on pollinators and food security, and spreading awareness to advocate for pollinators.
15% or less of charitable contributions go towards administrative costs, such as this website that you are viewing now.
Thank you for your support!
