Be a Bee Beneficial Member

The Bee Beneficial Membership program is intended for individuals to show their support for pollinators, and have access to knowledge that can easily be shared with family, friends, and neighbors. Members pledge that they will do small acts to improve a space for pollinators, and participation is based upon the honor system. We will not be checking in on you, but we are here as a resource if you need us.

Become a Bee Beneficial Member in 4 Easy Steps:

1. Have pesticide-free flowers or trees on your land that will provide nectar and pollen sources for pollinators during various seasons. *Plants that bloom at the beginning of spring or late in the fall are the most beneficial for pollinator survival.* Non-invasive and/or native Alaskan plants are preferred.

2. Reduce or eliminate the use of pesticides on your land. Consider switching to natural methods if possible.

3. Provide nesting areas for pollinators by having undisturbed soil, tree stumps/brush piles, bee boxes, or permanent plants/trees.

4. Pay an annual $20 membership fee. ($40 or more donations will receive a high quality outdoor yard sign) ---> https://givebutter.com/beebeneficial

With membership, a local guidebook and compilation of resources will be supplied to you in your email after you submit this form. Below is a snapshot of the guidebook and yard sign. Opportunities to purchase yard signs or materials are also available.
